Why learn French at Alliance Française?
French is the fourth most widely spoken language in the world, with nearly 396 million speakers worldwide. French is much more than simply a means of communication. It is a language used every day by millions of people both in their personal lives and in their professional careers, and it represents a real opportunity for your future in Zambia.
– French is a real asset in your professional life in the fields of international relations, diplomacy, business and so much more here in Zambia.
– By speaking French, you can also obtain scholarships to study in French-speaking countries such as Morocco or Tunisia. The African continent is now home to more than half of all French speakers. The world’s largest French-speaking country is on Zambia’s doorstep: the Democratic Republic of Congo.
– Alongside English, French is the only language spoken in all 5 continents.

We offer group courses, both online & physical, consisting of 40 hours per session. The academic year is divided into 4 sessions.

Session 2: March 30 to June 6, 2026

Each class lasts two hours, from 17:30 to 19:30pm twice a week, and is limited to a maximum of 15 students per class to ensure a learning experience based on speech acts and active teaching methods.
Our teachers receive regular training and follow the Le Nouveau Taxi method (a method based on the CEFR).
– We also offer intensive courses consisting of 100 hours per session, 2 hours per day from Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This program allows you to learn French at a faster pace than traditional group classes. These classes also follow the LeNouveau Taxi method.
– All of our French courses are based on the CEFR, which defines language proficiency across six levels:
– A1: Introductif
– A2: Intermédiaire
– B1: Seuil
